What is an Exercise Stress Test?
A heart test performed by having the patient walk on a treadmill while attached to an EKG machine that will monitor and track heart performance.
How do I prepare for the Exercise Stress Test?
- Expect to be in the office for one hour.
- Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
- Do not eat 2 hours prior to your test.
- If you are on any medications that slow your heart rate, you may be advised to stop taking this medication 24 hours before testing.
